Where is Carson Valley?
Just in case you were wondering, Carson Valley includes the 2 towns of Gardnerville and Minden. It is located south of Carson City and offers many options for locals and visitors!
Opened in 1965, Carson Valley Golf Course was designed by local architect Red Swift. When the course was originally developed, it included the Carson Valley Country Club restaurant, tennis courts and a swimming pool. Red Swift was also the original developer of the neighboring area that is known as the Ranchos and is today home for many people living in Gardnerville.
During the early 1970's, the golf course and restaurant became seperate businesses. In 2001, the current owners Tom & Manya Brooks purchased the golf course from Tom's parents who had owned the course since 1986. The award winning golf course continues to rate as 'the locals favorite' and is open to the public for golf year round.
Our pro shop is open year round and offers the best selection of golf items in the area.
A full selection of golf apparel including brand name golf clubs, shoes, shirts, hats, belts and accessories, is available. Our friendly staff are always available to help you with your purchases, if there is something special that you need, we can order it for you.
Please dress as if you are playing at your favorite golf course! We do not enforce a strict dress code but we have a few recommendations - a collared shirt is preferred but not required and yes, jeans are acceptable.
A shaded driving range and putting green with chipping area give you plenty of space to get ready for your round.
Lunch is served April thru October from 11am to 3pm.
During the winter season, hot dogs and a large selection of snacks are available.
